Research

My research interests are in the field of Conservation Physiology:

  • studying the ways animals are built and how they function

  • predicting how animals will interact with their changing environments

  • informing management decisions, especially for endangered species

I primarily focus on marine mammals, particularly whales.

At TMMC, I coordinate field surveys, drone operations, and various research projects as part of our growing Cetacean Conservation Biology Department

For my PhD, I used drones and oceanographic sampling to study the physiology & foraging ecology of baleen whales in Atlantic Canada.
